Erica, I am a major blueberry lover...fresh or frozen everyday...however i can get them. Thank you for the reading list. Enjoy your time at tiny bungalow...deb
Isn't it true you can soak fruit in water with baking soda and neutralize most of the pesticides? Would black (or any) berries be different than apples? Just dry them well. I store my berries in a big mason jar and the last for a long time.
For books recommendations: Allen Levi, Theo of Golden. Enjoy the blackberries. It sometimes feels like everything is out to get us these days. Off to pick up my biweekly local foods order, so I can pretend to be more virtuous than I am.
(I loved Ghost Town, by the way)

Not quite finished this book yet, but it will go on my current recommendation list - The Bright Years by Sarah Damoff.
A few other keepers from my list are:
- The Book Club for Troublesome Women by Marie Bostwick
- Life: A Love Story by Elizabeth Berg
- Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus
Please send us a fall update to let us know what you read.
I can’t cook anything with blueberries. I eat them too fast. I have the same problem with most fruit, especially peaches, I love peaches!
I read and really enjoyed, Culpability, by Bruce Holsinger.
Currently reading the novel The Calamity Club, by Katherine Stockett.

Theo of Golden is a really good book too!
